and Brings Window Film to Light

International Window Film Association Announces April 30th in Recognition of
Window Film and its Many Benefits

Washington, D.C. – April 11, 2016 – The International Window Film Association (IWFA), a nonprofit trade group representing the many benefits of window film from leading manufacturers, distributors and dealers, announces April 30th, National Window Film Day, as a day of public education focusing on a cost-effective solution to reducing energy costs in homes, protecting skin and home decor from the sun’s damaging UV rays and to promote window safety.

“National Window Film Day is a valuable opportunity for families, homeowners, drivers or any other citizen to learn about the benefits of this affordable technology,” said Jack Mundy, president of the IWFA. “The benefits to window film apply to our health, energy use and overall well being. We’re proud to consistently support National Window Film Day and we encourage our members and industry as a whole to participate, as well.”

The IWFA represents some of the leading makers of window film, and the association's membership includes nearly 500 distributors, dealer, and installers of window film.

The IWFA website currently serves as a one-stop information resource for consumers and industry professionals including videos and booklets on the energy savings and health benefits of window film.
"Once installed, window film can save a homeowner approximately five to 10 percent on the homes total energy bill," added Darrell Smith, executive director of the IWFA. “More importantly, the IWFA remains committed to new research to better understand the health implications of indoor sun exposure and we look forward to sharing our findings.” he added.
